Anatomy of Movement, by Blandine Calais-Germain Ashtanga Yoga, Juliet Pegram Ashtanga Yoga the Practice Manual, by David Swenson (My personal favorite as pertains to the Ashtanga practice.) B. K. S. Iyengar Yoga Beyond Power Yoga, by Beryl Bender Birch (This lady coined the phrase ‘Power Yoga’.) Bikram’s Beginning Yoga Class, by Bikram Choudhury Every Woman’s Yoga, by Jaime Stover Schmitt (The title says it all! I recommend it for many reasons not the least of which is Chapter 8 Restoring Balanced Health) Healing Mudras - Yoga for Your Hands, by Sabrina Mesko The Healing Path of Yoga, by Nischala Joy Devi - I have been in several trainings with Nischala and I consider her one of my spiritual mentors. Keep It Simple Series Guide to Yoga, by Shakta Kaur Khalsa (Probably my favorite out of the whole ‘dummie’ ‘everything’ ‘something for everybody genre’ series.) Kundalini Yoga, by Shakta Kaur Khalsa Light on Yoga, by B. K. S. Iyengar (Not for the beginner, but considered the Yoga ‘Bible’ by many and for good reason. Iyengar addresses which postures are appropriate for specific ailments, complaints, aches and pains. The postures are all identified by their Sanskrit names and many of them are very advanced.)
